"Erfaneh Samsam Shariat was born in 1987 in Isfahan and now lives in Tehran. She is an artist whose work incorporates a social and gender-based perspective, utilizing Iranian motifs, plants, and elements of nature to address societal themes and the deception of modern humanity. The role of women and femininity is always a prominent feature in her artworks.

From her perspective, today's world is coated with a layer of beauty and allure that distracts and deceives humanity, much like a display screen that captivates people while distancing them from their true essence and reality. Her core focus in her works lies in themes of femininity, deception, and the challenges and pressures of life. She enjoys creating art in various forms and uses different tools—painting, video, sound, and multimedia—to express her thoughts and vision."
